  1. Now, I know I'm gonna take some heat on this one, but let me defend my thinking. I had been playing at the table with this guy for a long while at the end of the tourney, and was the only player I didn't want to end up HU with. The one player who stood out as better than me. I made my flush, and although I thought a likely holdig was k7, which still had me beat, I didn't feel I had a better chance of beating him HU as a 2:1 chip dog as my flush had of being the best hand. We had been playing very aggressively the whole time.

  3. Really, that bad?

  4. Heads up I am not folding this. Based on how the hand played out he would play a K this same way along with a lone 7.

  5. you played that hand totally fine. Heads up, you made the flush, you couldnt have gotten away. Nice score!
  6. at least answer the poor guys question about 20$, then the other guy wouldnt hit quads obv

  7. You played the hand just fine, and you played a good tourney. I was at your table and you gave me a headache or two.
  8. I'm so confused how these people say "you can't get away from the hand." I've I'm reading this hand correctly you had 34s and he raised it up 3X BB on you. If you have a read on him as a good player than you have got to fold this hand. If he is better than you make more aggressive bets with your bigger hands and take some coin flips but don't call a bet like this with 34s cause IMO that's terrible.

With all that said much respect on getting 2nd, never easy.
  9. Joke?
  10. you played the hand ok, allthough im not sure im calling too many raises with 34s oop hu with around 50bbs, other than that i try to play smaller pots hu esp with flushs on paired boards. Just unlucky allthough i think you could have kept the pot smaller, maybe?
  11. not really, i just wanted to use a tony g line
  12. brag post?
  13. Calling w/ 43s is iffy but not terrible. Played the hand fine obv the worst card came on the turn, shit happens, congrats on taking second
  14. I totally agree I could have laid down the 4-high here, but there were virtually NO pots that weren't jacked up 3x the bb from the sb. This was pretty much a "free" flop the way we were going at it, so I made a suspect call, got lucky, only to realize I was the 2nd luckiest. Thanks for the input!

  15. The 34s s a little less suspect than the last hand shows, just because how we had been playing PF up until that point. Reguardless, it is a remarkably loose call. The pot size advice is good. Thats prolly the best advice I'll get in this thread. I am getting to the point that I can usually keep control of the pot sizes throughtout a tournament. I have vitualy no HU experience, so I thought I could win this bitch with my flush, and was dead wrong. But in all of my HU matches, I tend to go out where a smaller pot would have been warranted.

    Thanks for the input!

  16. lol, i guess hitting the ignore button on him gave me bad karma!!!

  17. Point taken, just the was we had been playing PF, there were hardly any pot that the SB didn't jack up here. We were pretty much seeing every flop. Thats my defense for calling here, because it was basically what we were treating as a free flop.

Although, defending the call is fun, cause I ate a serious dose of pwnage. Thanks for the input.

  18. Thanks for the props! I get that a lot. A few of the local cardroom managers joke with me that I keep the Advil in the gift shops flying off the shelves=) My crazy play an be infuriating.
