I was playing 17/21 @ this point. Gulah was not playing too out of line (probably 18/22, but over 30-40 hands total). And, what could be the most important part: Gulah took his time bank all the way down to 1 second before shoving. I will post results later once I get some responses... -
You could fold here seeing that u will see his cards as the BB called and u still have a healthy stack left after the fold. If u call you are risking yer tourny life with the 3rd best possible starting hand. U said he was playing rather good poker (not getting outta line) i think i have to fold here. If he pulled the wool over yer eyes its info u have for a later time. If his chips stack is 200k less i insta call here. You still have 375k left to make the fold. Its possible he is holding AK or JJ but i can't really see the repush with either of them hands as u are the only player at the table who can put him out. I would have to give him respect for AA or KK and play another hand

BRO! he's using his chip power, position power and M's to scare you off here because of the great odds he's getting to shove and win a big pot for free.... SNAPPPP CALL THIS FOOL he's got nothing but KQ or AJ AT BEST! looks to me like a RESTEAL SNAP CALL THIS FOOL and you'll be over 800K in chips! tell me what you do? ONLY PERSON THAT MIGHT HAVE you BEAT is DANTES13 but for GulahPapyrus HE's DONE!

Don't be like Lee CHILDS MUCK ING the winner! SNAP CALL THAT hand !
-
I call but IM a donkey i say the hands he has is either 10 10 JJ AK AQ or KK so considering that ratio and chance to be a chipleader I'd make the call- looks like an overshove to me, very small chance he has AA IMO- KK is possible but look at all the other hands that I mentioned that are possible, I call- go for the win!!
-
You have a point.... its a really tough spot.... and I want to thank Snail for bringing this hand up- I was actually at your table before I lost my KK to AA lol for a 20 k pot so I guess one of my flaws is folding QQ , KK preflop--- if you want to gamble- call becausee winning this hand will give you a great shot at taking down the tourney.... with all the suckouts on FTP QQ can easily beat AA as well... cant wait to see what the guy had!
-
LOL! I'm going golfing tell us what you did BRO!
-
^^^^^ RIGHT BRO!
-
and I thought I got the kill...This gulah fella has won the Sunday Mill on FTP twice...THIS YEAR...he has a very small sample and still smokes tourneys...for a reason...he always has AA or KK at the worst...folding was the only option...you still have enough chips to FT and better...
edit...maybe he shows up with AK right there pushing you off 10's or J's...very small chance he shows up with that...results?... -
look at the stacks Joe...Table chip lead and great position to take a shot...LATER in better circumstances...no need to flip for the tourney in that spot...give him credit for a huge hand that you will see since another is all in and use that info later against if he made that play with AK...simple imho...but after all, I'm still learning obv...I'm a huge nit...

Kicking myself for this one - even though most good online players I've spoken with say this a clear fold. He essentially turned JJ into a bluff, hoping I'd only call with KK and AA here, which was true. I'm not certain that he knew me well enough to make the play, but I obviously didn't know him well enough at the time. The fact that he timed down to 1 before shoving sent off alarms in my head, but different than most would think. I thought he showed up here with KK a vast majority of the time. I thought the reason why he timed down was to decide whether to shove/raise to x/call with KK or AA. I did not think the timing meant he was considering what to do with JJ or AK. But, if I call, I take out the guy who eventually won and have a monster stack to abuse ppl vs. where I was at. I ended up blinding down, extremely cold decked and lost a flip the 3rd hand of the final table. Sucks...any other thoughts here? -
FWIW: I almost never see top online players slowrolling by running out their timebanks in spots like these. This holds true even more when the tourney is a sunday major and having a timebank at the end of the tournament is super important. When I watched this hand go down I was 99% certain he had a really tough decision to make. I know Gulah has won one of these before, I just know hes not the type to slowroll AA and or KK and flatting with either one basically turns his hand face up anyway. When this hand went down I told SQ it was JJ or AK, but it's easy to say when you're railing and not the one making a huge decision. Definitely interested to hear more thoughts...
-
that is nasty...I didn't think he was slowrolling...just looked like an attempt to get you to call with a big hand when he has KK...wow...kinda speechless actually...to the ballas: timebanking and shove JJ to isolate is profitable or not right here?...would love to hear thoughts...
-
and btw JoeBlaze...you said to fold earlier...smoke another...lol
