  1. I seem to consistantly make it to late middle-late stages...either falling short of cashing by 5-30 players to even just min cashings.

Is there any tips that can be giving to help me in the stages of the game, $2-$6 mtt tournaments.
  2. Are you playing aggressively enough and not caring about min-cashing?

Opening my game up in the middle to late stages really helped me with the problem you are having.

I mean, do you really care about playing a $2 MTT, coming 108th and winning $3? When you could open your game up in the right spots and give yourself a chance of a real deep run?
  3. Do you run a hud and can post some stats as an example ? I only play at those lvl's on FTP so I know the games well .
    Peace

  4. lol @ huds

keep grinding and experimenting with what works as you get deeper and work on your aggression. practice makes perfect and eventually you will know what to do in every situation.

  5. does full tilt permit huds? if so which ones?
  6. ive been doing the same thing about 30 people away from cash big hand vs big hand usually just out chipped and in the middle of the pack. Playing my usual game not more or less aggresive than usual. You just need to keep doing what you are doing and if you are playing solid the results will come. Last few mtt if im deep and usually miss cash by 10-30 players while some short stack folds to a cash. Just gotta play your game and wait or change a leak that you may have
  7. I dont play using a HUD, i play by my observations.

Cheers for all your responses, im happy with my game-thats right just keep practicing reading up on informatoin, hand ranges, betting patterns, etc.

  8. Been having a little bit of sucess over the past 2 weeks with some min cashes but more importantly coming in 2nd place in a $2.20 tourney for $188 and 3rd in a $11 tourney for $159 (yes i know $11 is above my roll but i take shots once in a while)

Im a present happy with my game, still somethings i want to improve on (my leaks) but with time ill get there :-)

  9. Like stated aggression is key. I have been working on this at those levels and have had decent results it changes how people approach you when they know that you are playing aggro. I also have started to shift gears and take control of my position later in tournaments. In the beginning I am pretty tight but when we start to get to antes/bigger blinds I tend to attack when in position and take advantage of other players playing scared/passive looking for that $3 tends to build my stack up
  10. I play a lot of the same levels and just recently tried opening up my game. I have a ITM of 24% on tilt and that is way to high! Having a smaller roll you think any type of cash will help, but playing for 3-5 hours to make 3-8 dollars is not worth it. Pay close attention to how your table adjusts when you get closer to the money. If it tightens start opening alot of pots. If you get 3-bet 9/10 they have it. Find players who open a lot and try a steal here or there. And at this level you have to punish limpers. Best of luck.
  11. Ive been doing this trying to open up more in the late middle to late stages to accumulate chips with hands like JTs+, QTs+, KTs+, A2s+,AJo+, 22+ and these hands depending on my position but 85% of the time i get called by a similar stack sizes and larger stack sizes...what other tips can i take on...any helpful tips are welcome?

To play your stack size and use your fold equity depending on who your calling/raises and shoving against more then just playing your cards, is this the most important thing when it comes to late middle to late stages?
