  1. I struggle with the decision of what to do in this situation quite a bit. The blinds all had bigger stacks than me and had shown themselves to be fairly maniacal. I had already lost a 40K pot to the sb when I got AK all in vs. his AJ on a KJx flop. J on turn...

Anyway, dealt AJ in the cut-off, and I have only about 6 bbs. Being that this is a satellite and that these guys all have me covered, I made this bet in hopes that Ax or Kbig would put me in the rest of the way. I was low enough that I wanted to get paid off.

That being said, should I have just moved in here, knowing that one of those hands would call? Or do you like this play against three larger aggro stacks?

  2. You have an M of about 2.5 or 3....anything but a shove or a fold here is really bad.
  3. Shove or fold, raising 1/2 your stack preflop is horrid. What if you miss and he open pushes? You can't give yourself extra ways to lose the pot with your stack, late in this tourney.
  4. I don't like it, I think you need to jam this hand.

It's so easy to get behind on the flop with it, it's not like QQ, KK where you can say no A on the flop and I'm golden. because they have to flop a draw, then make it, or flop two pair or trips to have you beat. In those situations your play may, make more sense, but as it stands no way.
  5. Hey,

You said both the blinds were playing "fairly maniacal", so you need to just push here. You will almost always be called here by a weaker hand and have a good chance to double.

With AA or KK I can see your raise not being such a bad idea. But with AJ i don't like it. What if a blinds just calls. He gets to act 1st, and if you brick the flop and he pushes what do you do?

And you are also giving hands like 5 6 a discount here. If he misses he can check fold, and if he hits he takes your stack.

You want to be able to see all 5 cards with this type of hand, not just 3. Make them pay....
