Playing in the UB 109 buy-in Friday night. Aboout a half hour in (I think blinds are 15/30), I pick up KK in early position.
UTG (t3000) raises to 75. He seems like a solid player and has only shown down big cards so far. I (t2300) am directly to his right and I raise the pot. (Sorry, I don't remember the exact amount, but i think it was around 225). Everyone folds around to UTG and he calls.
The flop comes QJx rainbow and UTG bets 200 and I raise the pot to 800. He immediately types "AA or KK?" Then he types, "Ok, I'll take a shot." and moves all in. I take as much time as I can and then fold.
I was thinking he called my exact hand and then moved in anyway. I felt he did this because he could beat it and was trying to induce a call. Is this reasonable, or a complete donk move? -
Hard to tell.... that early in the MTT, he probably had two pair. Those mid PFraises always seem to me to be QJ raises or small pocket pairs. Probably a good laydown.

he had AQ

i agree.. probably a set of Q's or even AA as another possibility.. although less likely

you can fold here if you don't think he's a moron pushing AQ. this is different than laying it down preflop for sure.
if you're read is right then it's a good lay down.

Thanks for the responses. I wanted the unbiased opinion of people who know what they are talking about.
This hand has been bugging me, because I knew what the actual result was. I folded the K's face up and was suprised when he showed me AQ. Not such a good laydown...
Anyway, I came back and finished 2nd for my highest cash ever, $3200! I think a lot of the better players are in Aruba and were not playing in the tournament, but I'll take the increase in bankroll any day!
