  1. *After everyone limps - we see a flop
    *Flop 2 pairs
*Check/Call Flop with intention of check/raising the turn
*Check/Raise Turn (I priced him in to call didn't I? What's the play here (considering my play up to this point is ok)

*Do you check/call this river bet? (after showing aggression on the turn and with 2 pairs - I don't think I can fold in this spot)

    Thanks for your help!

  2. raise the flop in a 4-way pot

EDIT: the thread title is sfclever

  3. DEfinately raise the flop and I would lead the turn
  4. don't check/call the flop here

Why are these not posted in HA?
  5. With straight and flush draws present, you definitely want to raise that flop to protect two-pair. Without reads, I agree with leading the turn. With the right reads (i.e. that opp wouldn't have called the flop with A5/65 and that he is aggro enough to bet), I like a check/raise all-in to maximize the pressure you are applying and the amount that you win.

This is reasonable, because if you raise the flop, the pot looks like: 250 (pre) + 100 (his fl-bet) + 100 (portion of your raise that calls his bet) + 350 (your fl-raise) = 800. His bet will likely be 300-500, plus your calling-portion making the pot 1400-1800. With 3225 to start the hand, you have just over a PSB left at this point.

As played, I can't fold the river. He can just as easily be on the flush draw as the straight draw (actually, much more easily given that the straight draw has far fewer clean outs).

    Hope that helps,

I've seen this 4 times now and am already sick of it...stop imo
  8. How can you not bet the flop? This is an example of when bad players over think things and hurt themselves. You do not want to check/smooth call this flop in a 4-way pot with intention to check/raise the turn ever. That is just an awful line.

You are in a 4-way pot and chances are very likely that you will get action on that drawy flop. There is a flush and several str8 draw possibilities out there so leading out with a bet on the flop is best line. You are hoping to get check/raised here by hands like QJ, Q10,QK, AQ( AQ not likely cuz they most likely raise pre flop) and all draws. If you get check/raised then your just gunna want to get it all-in right there on the flop if whoever the raiser is didn't put you all-in already.

Now if you do not get check/raised on the flop and instead just get 1 or 2 callers, you are going to have to evaluate the turn and make a decision based on it. If no club or any 4, 5, 6, 7 comes on the turn then you should just shove and win the pot right there, thus scooping a nice sized pot and not letting your opponent get a good price to call and catch up and break you on the river. If one of those scare cards do fall then I would suggest proceeding with caution, but do not give up the hand entirely. If one of these scare cards come I would still bet the turn and then fold to a raise.

Remember if you do not get any action after the flop do not get mad and think it was wrong of you to lead out. Its always better to win a small pot than lose a big one.

Oh yah and I forgot to say that as played by you, yes you most certainly can fold on the river. He is almost never betting the river there without the best hand. He has too good of showdown value to try making a bluff on the river that has a high percentage to get called. This is actually a pretty easy and standard laydown, he never shows up with worse here, EVER!
