    I'm not entirely sure on the ruling... but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that this isn't legal. Luckily he lost, but should I be reporting douchery like this? Based on his verbal douchiness, I had him "dominated" so had I actually called like I was considering, I woulda flipped.

    I've been in a few situations like this before, and confirmed with Full Tilt Support that this is against their tournament rules, specifically this one:

    29. Players and observers may not discuss a hand until the action is complete. Players are obligated to protect the other players in the tournament at all times. Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities is not allowed.

    If you report them to Full Tilt, they will likely only get a reminder that their action is against the tourney rules, and that's about it.
