  1. Not sure if this should be in PD but it involves the Casino bill which involves poker. Please vote yes on this so we don't have to travel out of state to go play live poker. It creates 34,000 jobs and puts 4 casinos across the state. One time!!!

  2. i already voted yes. lets go ohioans, go out there and let your voice be heard

  3. Would make going home much more enjoyable

  7. Bump. Already sent my absentee ballot in. I'm probably still going to move next year but it would be nice if Ohio had some casinos!

  8. I just voted for it too, now waiting for the rest of the short-sighted pinheads in this state to vote it down.

How can 5 jokers be a bad deal for OHIO?

It sounds like me. I can get em all in with pocket jokers and still lose.
  10. I voted for it this morning even though I'm another one who wants to move away from this shithole of a state asap.
  11. fiance and I both voted

I live in Cleveland and I hope this passes, but LOL @ believing that made up number, and also lol @ that being the best justification for voting for the casinos. How about freedom? That's a much better one imo.

I don't care why you or anyone else voted for it tbh, I just want it to pass as I think it's good for Ohio.

  14. The wife's family is all from Akron, Ohio...would be nice to have some casino's near by when we go to visit...GO GO GO!
  15. Lets do it ohio.... From what I have heard about exit polls..... outlook good
  16. So anyone know if this thing passes what's the timeline we should expect to have a casino in ohio? Like...a few months? A year? More?
  17. Results look good so far. Hopefully the inbreds in the Southern part of the state don't screw this up.

Man, It would be so nice not to have to drive to WV or spend $20 per hour on seat fees at Nautica.
  18. It will be several years if it passes. I have heard 2-4.

  25. i question whether casinos is truly a way to help an ecomony. it just seems its another form of taxing the poor etc etc and creates just as many problems as it may help.
  26. weeeeeeeeeee hope they don't scan fake id's

  28. So awesome that this passed...
  29. i realize its over. its just a debate in many states all over the country and a really wonder if there if there is a truly positive impact from having casinos. great for the poker players (enjoy the rake though) its awesome to have a place to play, i just think they are opening casinos cause they know people will dump money into slots and games that favor the house. yes you will have responsible people who will enjoy these but you'll also have a lot of gambling addicts wasting away in the casinos.

but whose really gonna benefit? there is gonna be so much wasteful spending by governments that lots of the profits i imagine aren't going to benefit the greater good of the community, sure a portion of the profit will trickle down into social and civic improvement.

now i don't know the case in your state, but i assume the state is licencing private companines to come in and run these. thats whose going to benefit the most from this.

You're missing the point...the Ohio people that will be going to these Ohio casinos are going to casinos outside of the state of Ohio now. Why have them spend their money that they are going to spend anyway outside of the state when they can just spend it here in Ohio?
