If they wanted to, and it sounds like they don't which is fine, they are entitled to financial reperations. It can be argued that members sign up for those articles and therefore they add to the profit of the website. To take those articles/wording from another source without compensation or credit can be seen as plagarism and fraud. They are on perfectly sound legal ground to seek compensation. I don't care either way and a simple apology would have done it for me but the back tracking and snide comments are annoying.

If Jsup has contacted legal counsel, they undoubtedly have told him to not comment on the issue, but his lack of comments don't mean that he is indeed persuing a legal case.

I know a bunch out there want to draw & quarter Clonie & Rick but let's get over this...

They screwed up ...... and they admitted they screwed up (refreshing if you ask me). Forget all the legalese... they made a mistake and they owned up to it (we are poker players not lawyers .... I'm sure we've all screwed up at the tables enough times).

And for what it's worth... I attended a WPT bootcamp (last May) with Clonie & Rick and Clonie made it very clear that R&A's really were her favourite and proceded to tell stories & her game plan re R&A's.

I was an editor for about 18 years before I became a derelect/poker player. Most of what an editor does is REMOVE excess verbiage from a writer's work. After all the superfluous adjectives, adverbs, non-essential and out-of-place phrases have been removed and the spelling and grammar errors corrected, the editor is done. If the article needs more work, it's returned to the writer for re-write. The editor NEVER, EVER finishes editing the article then goes hunting around for someone else's literary "tidbits" to enhance the article before it's released. Rick Fuller may be a good writer, he may be good at re-writing the articles of other people. But the one thing this gentleman isn't is an Editor. He clearly has no clue what "editing" actually entails. Clonnie needs Rick Fuller as her "editor" like Delta needs me as an airline mechanic.... LOL... 2Slick

Ok, let's do the math again.

You tried to steal a pot with a plagiaristic move, but unfortunately got caught with no pair no draw.

You compounded the problem by further adding fuel to the fire with a lame attempt to "explain" why you had the right price to play your hand the way you did, further causing an uproar as to your ability to truly understand that you needed to simply take ownership of your transgression.

You re-re fubar the situation by refusing to understand that you still had fold equity in this situation if you just came out and said I fucked up, but instead you threw the rest of your chips in and went busted with your same lame insincere disengenuous story.

Now, I have one last comment, and it's regarding Rick's statement about how you simply thought JSUP's thoughts were Clonie's exact sentiment put into words....

YOU NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF USING AN ORIGINAL THOUGHT OF CLONIE'S.

YOU PREVIOUSLY HAD NEVER SET A CYBERFOOT ON POCKETFIVES, SO HOW DID YOU FIND JSUP'S ARTICLE?

SIMPLE.... YOU GOOGLED OR YAHOO'D THE SUBJECT SO YOU COULD STEAL ANOTHER PERSONS WORDS AS YOUR OWN.

That's right, you ACTIVELY used an internet search engine to find work someone else already had done to pass off as Clonie's original thoughts.

That being said, I will give you one last piece of advice.

Scenario two would have been so much better ... admit the truth.

"I was busy, I screwed up, I was in a time crunch and Rick found Jsup's article thru the Yahoo search engine and his words fit my exact thoughts so I unknowingly allowed Rick to use them as my own. It was a colossal mistake, and I regret it profusely and will be contacting Jsup privately to make amends."

Now, let me further waste your time with more commentary.

Clonie screwed up, and further exacerbated the problem by continuing to allow Rick to address this issue and make it worse with his fuck you I kind of apologized once although not really attitude.

Rick, I'm a business person myself, and I can tell you this, when I screw up, I don't waste my customers time explaining to them how I didn't really screw up, that "circumstances" caused the situation and I really meant for them to not have been wronged. NO NO NO, rather I do one thing, and one thing only... I take my medicine, apologize profusely, and find out what i can do to rectify the situation.

Whether you like it or not, Clonie is a public figure in the poker world, and you simply can't come to a POKER FORUM, and think you are helping Clonie's situation by doing anything other than profusely apologizing.

So, all of you guys that think Rick was justified in his second aggressive fuck you Pocket fives comunity if you don't like it post, well, I guess your a better business man than me, cuz I think it was a bigger brain fart than the original plagiarism.

Clonie did not deserve all the hatred that came out of this at all. She made a mistake, either thru her own choice, or by allowing Rick to represent her, but she's not a serial killer.

Oh, by the way, the person I disrespect is you Rick for your "I don't care to earn your respect" statement. That's not dissected, it's cut and pasted, you know how that works though....
