  1. Recently I decided to grind out micro limit cash games. I use a fairly similar strategy to the one present in "Small Stakes Hold'em" which has been profitable for me in the past.

I've logged about 11,000 hands @ $.25/$.50 and managed to make 2BB/100, having success I decided to test the waters at the $.50/$1 limit and have gotten hammered.

Over 4000 hands and I'm averaging -3BB/100 hands. I noticed that players are better at folding on the turn/river, but some of the beats I've been taking are ridiculously similar to the ones that happen at the $.25/$.50 level, yet I make money there.

I don't understand if the rake is structured different or if maybe I'm just running bad but it only happens at this limit. As soon as I move back down I start tearing it up again.

    My questions are ...

Could this be considered just a bad streak?

Has anyone experienced similar swings in limit games? What are the streaks like more or less?

Is this a good enough sample size to at least begin to notice a trend? What would a better sample size be?

If possible can someone with some limit hold-em experience at these levels look me up at Poker Table Rankings, some hand histories can be provided to check the way I'm playing. (I'm a winning tournament player, I can set up some sort of compensation for your time w/ my next big score for someone willing to take the time. Can also do a skype screen sharing session w/ some Holdem Manager stats)

    PM me if interested.

I'm really at a lose of words as to how bad I am running at this limit and could really use some advice.

Thanks very much in advanced ...
  2. When I play the BB JP's on sites and at MT PARK, in WV, I play limit.

At the stakes you are playing, people just don't fold to any raise or reraise. Limit poker is all about streaks. Play tighter. Fold more.
