Looking back I am not sure if there was a better line to take.

I figured flat calling was a weak play as I am out of position. Also if I flat call and do not like the river then I will have to check and decide whether or not his river bet is then a bluff or value bet which with the pot being as small as it was would not have hurt me like this did.

I figured we shared the 8 and would be chopping. I did give the possibility of 66 or 77 and potentially two spades for the flush draw. The thought of he could have J8 crossed my mind but I figured if he had that then oh well shit happens, cooler.

Reflecting back there are two things I would change
    1. flatting the turn and then check calling the river depending on how he bet it.
2.Simply not playing 86s pre-flop this early in the tournament (admittedly I was antsy to play).

    Thoughts/comments?

    Reason: Readability
  2. First, don't play that OOP; if you do play pre-flop, raise with it. The flop was not good considering the other players. You need to be more aggro; limp calling won't work. Shoving all-in with out the nuts is obv suicide. Better preflop decisions is your first starting point.
  3. You should've folded that from UTG. If you did decide to play it, you should raise, or better yet 3bet. Looking at the flop, you should've folded it then.
