  1. Bit of background before the hand in question. I had been playing relatively tight and my raises had been getting some respect especially my c-bets. Villain (two to my left) had been active making a lot of raises and playing a lot of pots.

Two hands prior to the one in question, villain rasied to $6 from UTG, UTG+1 (another loose player) called and I repopped to $28 from SB with AK. Both players fold. Next hand I limped in to a multiway pot with K J from the button. Flop was KK7 with two spades and MP player raises to $12, I repop it to $36 and take it down.

So to the hand in question. It is foled to me in the cutoff and I look down to see 10's. I raise to $10, the button calls and villain repops it to $36 from the SB. I call, button folds. Flop comes down 6 5 3 with two hearts. Villain pushes all in and I have about $125 left in front of me and villain has me covered.

    Can I call?

What range do you put villain on?
  2. I fold. Nothing you've said indicates that the villain makes spewy bluffs or overvalues hands, rather it sounds like he's pretty aggressive but able to fold when played back at. The overbet may indicate a draw but i think if villain is any good he'll be shoving his overpairs here too to get value from hands like yours (which not many players are able to fold at live 1/2). Maybe I'm too nitty but I think you'll find many better spots to stack off in a live 1/2 game.

Also, if he's on a heart draw he almost certainly has two overs as well, giving him 15 outs against you.
  3. Live 1/2 I call here I really try not to over think a situation like this live.
  4. 1. fine strd

    2. depends on your read and what villian is capable of imo

First question...why are you putting in $36 preflop with $125 behind? You don't have odds to setmine. So given villains reraise preflop, you have to shove or fold based on your estimate of his range. As played, what can you possibly beat? This is AhKh or QQ+ given your range. I think it's a fold.

edit: villain's a little looser. What hands would villain reraise preflop OOP? Have you seen him reraise in/out of position before? I think the answers to these questions help you pinpoint his range a little better than what I said above.

I called as the only hands I could put him on were AK AQ type hands where he wanted to take down the pot or a combo draw like 54.

Well he had KK and I struggled to find his reason for playing this hand like this. I guess he was thinking the same as you.

  8. I general I find whil players at 1/2NL may be pretty crappy, usually they don't shove as a bluff like this. I would think this should be a fold unless you can come up with some nasty read that would lead you to calling.

The calling $26 pre I can see either way. Again I would think you would need a better read to make the call there. Shove or fold IMO would be best.
