  1. a friend of mine is telling me about his live poker experience tonight where a player had raised in the dark, another player called in the dark, and my friend stuck his last money in with QQ and both players called and verbally agreed to check down their hands since neither had even looked at their cards. anyways, my friend eventually loses the hand after flopping set, but my question is, when two players verbally agree to check down while another player is all in, doesnt this break the rules?

if yes, what is the result? does my friend get rewarded the main pot by default? or is this just a grey area that is rarely enforced?
  2. Are u kidding? People verbally agree to check it down in live cash games all the time. I don't think it changes anything that your friend was all-in. I wouldn't say it's collusion, at all, but maybe it's just a douchey move by the guys.
  3. no, im not kidding. thats why im asking. duh

  4. I think you can verbally agree HU. The fact that its a 3 way pot changes things..
  5. You can't agree to check it down if more than 2 people in the pot. However, there is no canceling the pot. If it happened repeatedly whoever does it should be asked to leave and that would be it.
