  1. What say you in regards to buyin amounts. This is for someone doing this primarily as a main income. If you play online with 40-45 buyins would the same apply to online considering that play is a lot lot worse live than it is online. Just wanted to get some thoughts if you could. Thanks.
  2. Considering the fact that online, you can play up to as many tables as you want really, your online bankroll should be more than a live bankroll. For online cash games, I would definitely not play with less than 50 buyins, and would prefer to have ~75 if you are playing 6max cash which tends to have more variance.

For live cash games, depending on where you are playing, I would say that 30-40 buyins in a bankroll should suffice given the fact that the average player is much worse and there is a lot less of a chance you will go on a "large" downswing in a live cash game.
  3. I was thinking along the same lines. Currently, I use 40-45 for online cash games (FR) so maybe 30-35 would be sufficient for live games. I would really love to hear other people's thoughts on this.

  5. There is a max buy-in at both the casinos I go to but this will be my primary source of income hence I think I need 30+ buyins.

  6. As a rule, so long as your poker money is kept seperate from your personal money (for bills ect) then your BR is big enough. I'd say even 20 buy ins depending on the game could be more than enough.

EDIT: 20 buy ins not BBs.
