  1. SO basically im playing live im holding AK in the SB. The whole table limps.....the limp call is 5 bucks........i make it 75......i get two callers out of middle position......
FLOP As Qs 9s...........im first to act i check.....both opponents check......turn is Ah................i figured id let them see one card first and then jam all in on the turn so that its really hard for anybody to chase a spade........I jammed for about my remaining $245.......i get snapp called by a K2 of spades......flopped flush.......no boat on the river. What could i have done differently here?
  2. You could have posted this in bad beats section

  3. lol so your saying i shouldnt have checked the turn and just called to any non spade? Instead of jamming like that......i figured im getting called by a high spade or any weaker ace.......or a hand that crushes me.....

true its not -EV but its a serious crapshoot luckfest when everyone limps and then calls 12 when you make it 12 ... pretty tough to scoop every raised pot when theres like 6 ppl seeing every flop

LOL amazing logic. I think this is 2/5 fwiw as he said the limp/calls were for 5... maybe I am wrong but that is what I got out of it

LOL why would you be trying to scoop every pot at a table like that?? If you cant adjust your play to be +EV @ that table I doubt you should be playing poker. You should be leaving a winner 80-90% of the time with a table full of call stations.

    this

  12. not cb the flop is ur mistake. could of bet $75-150 and if K2s re-pops all-in maybe fold ur tptk. 3 spades on the flop would of slowed me down. u hit trips on the turn and spazzed all-in. def need to work on ur post flop play in live $1/2 cause they trap when they are strong cause it's the easiest play. if ur in a live $1/2 and players call that pre-flop bet of $75 and check it around to that board. ummm trapping?

its simple, these players only bet when they hit the flop hard or have a big draw ... most of the time they check/fold and you can take down a lot of uncontested pots ... the types of players that i'm talking about will call anything reasonably big pre flop regardless of position, then become super tight post flop ... at least in my experience in AC which is fairly often...lots of people see flops then just muck afterwards there's minimal bluffing ...you can chip up easily by picking good spots and then when you actually hit hard you get paid by the idiot who calls with top top or keeps putting chips into the pot with a draw that he's being priced out of , adjusting play to be +EV at that table means either you relentlessly attack the super tight players until they start playing back or you wait for a hand and get max value versus the villains that i mentioned above, i dont just blindly fire pot sized bets into 6 people, but if i make it 12 pre w like QhTh and get 2 callers and the flop comes 722, i take it down 90% of the time because of such scared money ... i'll take those $30-$50 pots all day uncontested

  17. Hi, you should be betting this flop. It's too wet to give a free card. If you check you're taking the high variance route and should be trying to check down with maybe a really thin value bet on the river.
