So it was a $880 Chad Brown turny at Orange Park poker room in Florida. Got 210 $54k 1st, softest field I have ever seen. The dealers and floors were as bad as players, bad rulings couldn't count down stacks.
Anyways, very odd payout structures and went hand for hand ever money bubble. So payed 24, hand for hand at 20,16,12,11,10. I questioned the hand for hand and payouts whatever, so 12 to 11 took 45 min and ended the night with 11 left, floor says were all getting 2900+(also posted on the payouts with the clock) and will start back noon next day.
Well I was short lose rejamming a9 vs kk 5 handed, all good whatever. Then they give me 1700, I look at the turny screen wait for it to show 11th $ hmmmmm says 2900 like they told us. Guy gets his boss, boss says sorry someone input $ wrong and we shouldn't have been hand for hand...... sorry gg have a nice day. REALLY? That's it? What do u guys do? -
Can't do anything about it now, I guess. Though it does totally suck moose dick.
Sorry you didn't make FT. What, would that have been like these God-awful "Windy City Poker" things I see on an obscure sports channel, where its Chicago dudes playing in a rec room or a basement and first place gets a $200 Best Buy gift card? -
I think the casino should make up for the difference. IIRC in the 2003 or 2004 WSOP ME 2 guys bubbled in HfH of the money and Binions, instead of the original plan of 1/2 of min cash to each they made up a $10,000 difference and allowed both players a full min cash. This wasn't even Binions mistake, they could have just said the guy with the least chips at the start of the hand is the bubble, sorry gg.
So a $1200 difference isn't much to make up and it's the casinos mistake. I don't think you're in a place to demand $1200 from the casino, but if they had an sense of customer service what-so-ever, they would pay the $1200. -
LOL you have never been to the OP poker room have you. Grats on the cash UF
-
Yea i was there too, but busted out on level 9. As far as Florida goes i thought they did a decent job, obv wasnt there for day 2. I woulda def complained a lil more about the wrong payout but who knows. Maybe these guys will get it together since they are allowing bigger tourneys. gg either way

Man hell fukn naw!! That's some bullsh*t 4 real! $1,200 difference?? I woulda went off, it's not ur fault someone fukd up the payouts. Cuz that can affect the way a player plays their hands obv assuming they've already won x amount.. I woulda found a stars rep or someone that had to do with the tv production or somethin, but clearly the casino shoulda paid u and whoever else for their mistake.

Way to go Jacksonville...nice job F'n up the biggest poker event we've ever had..obv.
retarded IMO....
Nice job though UF...i tried to satty in but didnt get it.Sorry to hear that our local donksht poker room is lame. -
If I understand correctly, they posted the payout at $2,900 for 11th place and then paid you only $1700, even while the $2,900 was still posted as the payout for 11th.
In this situation I would have called the gaming commission immediately. -
i'd follow the boss to the bathroom and pee on his leg
-
uhmm if they said they made a mistake then they should be liable for the difference because it does affect how the hand is played. thats why people fold KK on the bubble.
contact gaming commission? -
Live poker is riggeD imo
-
i think just win next time and you wont have to worry about what 11th or 12th pays.
think florida avg IQ is just above texas
