  1. Live Tourney, Pays top three six left, blinds at 400, 800 but about to rise to 500,1000. The table is very tight, mainly the blinds seeing the flop. Player D is a good player but I felt is shove was with two high cards(he was shoving from bb alot), and I figured that I had two live cards, and about a 40% chance to win so I called hoping to win a huge pot and being able to use those chips to steal blinds.

  2. I wouldnt say as much like a donkey.........donkeys play better then this nice stack off with 9 high

  3. theres a difference between playing to win, and playing to lose. and calling 3/4 your stack with 98 suited is not playing to win. all playing to win means is that you shouldnt be afraid to bust if you think you have an edge, rather than squeeze to the bubble or to move up in pay and not have enough chips to have a chance to win
  4. lol, just wondering, I was card dead and the blinds where taking me out so I thought a 40% chance was good enough and went for it, just wondering how bad the call it was, and apperently VERY bad. Next time Ill just have to be more patient, but better yet take advantage of the tight table and steal blinds so im not in this situation.

  5. Medium suited connectors are good for 4 things:

    1) calling preflop when deepstacked

    2) shoving to steal the blinds when shortstacked (8-12BBs)

    3) restealing a LP open-raiser when mediumstacked (14-18BBs)

    4) calling a shove when shortstacked to demonstrate you are a donkey

    sorry man, harsh but true

  6. no problem, gotta learn somehow, all I see is the same old hh's so i thought I would post this. I knew it was a shitty call but I got desperate. But I learned a better way to play in this situation, so being called a donkey is worth it.
