This is not a bad beat story, just wanted some input. My first reaction was that, somehow, it was a misdeal. Then I was thinking I was set up somehow but I really have no reason to think that. So now I'm wondering what the probability would be of this occuring and if it's really as shocking as I thought it was.
Live ($100R) MTT.. get down to 3 handed play. Botton folds. I make a standard raise and the BB moves all in and I call with AhAs. He has AK of clubs. The flop comes 2d-Ad-3h rainbow, turn is 4d and the river is Ks... I had him covered and we went to heads up. The very next hand (first hand heads up), I get dealt AK of clubs. We get it AIPF and flip them over and he has 2 red aces... The flop comes 2-A-3 and the turn is a 4. I might have made an ass of myself but I stopped the hand because I was trying to figure out if there could have been a misdeal. There were about 5-6 people watching and everyone seemed to agree that it was bizarre but nothing was done wrong. We were alternating decks and they had been shuffled prior to dealing, but I honestly wasn't paying attention.
The river ended up being a Q and I still had plenty of chips, the point is not that I lost the hand but just how unlikely is this to occur?
I've been playing for many years and have seen some strange things but this was easily the most memorable. Have you guys seen similar things? Anyone want to take a stab at the probability? -
I remember getting HU with a ~10:1 chip lead...

1st hand: AA vs. QQ, flop Q94.
2nd hand: AA vs. QQ, flop Q94 (same suits).
3rd hand: QQ vs. AA, flop A94
Soooooooo tilting!!! If I got AA or QQ the next hand, I probably would have open folded it lol -
Oh, let me get this straight.
It's great when you get AA vs AK, and win.
It's rigged when you get AK vs AA and lose.
Poker happens. Don't whine about the variables in the game. Don't claim "Rigged" or "cheating" every time you lose one hand. -
the point was the holecards and and community cards were identical 2 hands in a row.
