  1. Let's say you are in a casino playing a $5/$10 NLHE game with a $1,000 max buy-in. You increase your chip stack to $2,500 after an hour. You want to keep playing, but are uncomfortable playing with this much money, as you are only the 4th biggest stack at your table. Could you take $1,000 from your stack and put it in your pocket? Is this against the rules? Would you get kicked out or just be forced to put the $1,000 back into your stack. Is it likely anyone would notice if you did this?
  2. If ur uncomfortable playin with that much $$ u shouldn't be playin $5/$10
  3. Can't do it.
  4. Guess you didn't watch the Cash Game on Game show network.

  5. leave the table an either play 5/10 someone were else, or 2/4
  6. You can't take the money off the table without leaving the game. So, if you're uncomfortable with risking the profit (nothing wrong with that), leave the game. It'll still be running a little bit later. Go get something to eat, nurse a drink at the bar, wander around, whatever.

Is there a traditional length of time that a poker room would make you wait before sitting back down for the original buy-in? I'm pretty sure you couldn't just get up and grab a seat in another 5/10 game with the same $1k...that'd be just about the same as putting the profit in your pocket at the same table.
