  1. Will be traveling through in the near future, anyone play in Detroit who can give me the scoop on the games and where to play? I know MGM has a room there, don't know how it is or any others...

I would play $2-$5 NL, or Limit (HE, O/8, or HORSE) $5-$10 to $20-$40.

    Thanks for any insight.
  2. I've never been to MGM but I know Greektown has anot of 1/2 NL and 3/6 limit. they usually only have a few 2/5 tables going and sometimes they have a 5/10 PLO game going.

I think motor city is the best spot. They always have a bunch of 1/2 and 2/5 NL games going. there really soft too. theres really no mixed games in detroit casionos though.

    Hope that helps
  3. I play at Caesars Windsor and Greektown for the most part. Greektown has either a 5/10 Pot limit omaha or a round by round game that draws good action. MGM's poker room is the smallest so if you dont want to croos over into Canada try either Greektown or Motor City. 1-2 is the most common hold em game in town. Good luck and enjoy the wonder that is Detroit
  4. just moved to vegas from detroit- the charity poker rooms are E-Z. do your research theres a lot around the area. sunnybrook is pretty good about 9 miles north of detroit in sterling heights. lots of tables and lots of action from ppl who have no clue how to play poker.
  5. Thanks all sounds like motor city is the best bet for game selection.

What do they spread at sunnybrook lagbomb?

    They do spread mixed games

Tues they have 15/30 limit holdem/omaha hi

Weds the game is same as above but 20/40

Fri they have 15/30 limit holdem with 20/40 kill and also a 5/10 nl holdem/pl omaha high game

Sat they have 15/30 limit holdem/omaha high

No the 5/10 PL game was moved to motor city because greektown is rub by a bunch of fucking idiots who could give a shit about their poker room.

Thanks ALoco, I'll probably be coming through on a Saturday, this looks like where I want to be.

General scouting report on the regs in that 15/30 game would be appreciated... soft or decent in general? Any really tough players?

Sorry I didnt get back to you earlier.....I don't know if this will be of any help as today is Sat....But the 15/30 limit holdem/limit omaha high game in my opinion in the best action game you can find in the state.

It tends to get very loose, but not really aggressively-loose game (ie someone will raise and then a bunch of people just call). There is not much 3 betting because most of the players are just not that sophisticated (this is esp true during the omaha rounds). I am sure once you get the feel of the game you will understand more what I mean.

The variance can be pretty sick with the omaha because it is not uncommon to have 6-7 players taking a flop. It kind of turns into a big game of bingo with 600-1200 dollar pots which can be frusterating because it makes it almost impossible to protect your hand.

There are a few solid regulars that play in the game, but outside of that most of the players are way out of their league. Sauce is solid, Felicia is solid, a guy called big mike is solid, kevin is also a solid player.

I will be there sometime later tonight...I will prob be the youngest kid at the table with either a northface or msu hoody and glasses.

    GL and enjoy the D!
