  1. If you are in a pot heads up, or i guess it doesnt nec have to be heads up, and after the river the action has ended. you say you have a full house and the other player/s muck their cards before you show. you then turn over garbage and in reality have nothing. aside from questionable ethics, is there anything illegal about this? ont know the official ruling so was just wondering....thanks
     
  2. You win the pot since he mucked his hand. That's why I always make them show their cards. There are people out there that do exactly that.
  3. so basically there is no rule that states you can not claim to have any hand you want at showdown, even if in fact you do not have what you claim to, to try to get opponent to muck.

  4. At every casino I've played at, "Cards Speak" applies. So no, I have never heard of a rule against lying about your hand. You could could yell out "Royal Flush!" after every hand. You sure wouldn't make very many friends at the table though.
  5. ok thanks... never crossed my mind to actually do it, but was thinking more in terms of protecting myself to make sure i always see oppnents hands
