1. Were they seriously questioning him moving his last 3M in the dark when the pot was 13M???? Like he wasnt commited?? And lol @ hellmuth saying he would flat call with QQ 5 handed with these stacks and that he could get away from it....gordon makes me wanna hang myself tho hes so bad

2. How do you feel about the reraise into the CL (who showed he was slowing down) with A Q?
3. I hate hellmuth...

Rain was so committed i would have done same thing
4. If he knew he was committed why wouldn't he just shove preflop?

5. Yeah Phil's comments make me think he's not even that good at poker. Why would he just wanna look at the flop when he put 2/3rds of his stack in?
6. No way i fold AQ to him....he raised 1.5Mill and i have 8Mill in my stack I insta jam. Making it 4.5 is the same thing if he calls hes expecting him to jus put him in preflop ne wat but Yang is a moron n jus said calll....same thing tho

8. I hate the shove in the dark - sure, he's almost certainly going to be called on a flop push, but why give up the possibility that the guy will fold his JJ on a KTT flop? There's no point to pushing in the dark, and you're possibly giving something up for nothing, however unlikely.
9. How about call and see a flop?
10. lol@waco

11. How about you spew your chips away?
12. i brought up the same point in ur hand discussion thread, ship.

14. phil hellmuth is mostly correct except for criticizing the allin blind push by Kahn, because at that point he was pot committed. Hellmuth has been doing this forever though and is probably the best NL Holdem Player in the world and has seen these situations thousands of times so he knows what to do.

There is no need to always be willing to gamble everytime you see an A-K or A-Q. Even Johnny Chan said in his interview he'd wait for an ace but then wait for it to hit before risking his stack.

In a structure like this it's more about the big laydowns and not getting involved in big pots if you cannot afford it. Right now the only player who can afford it is Yang.

15. AQ = insta shove there 6 handed

the way Khan played it is perfectly fine as well, as it is essentially the same thing but actually will look stronger to some players...

16. LMAO @ "should we turn the game over to clowns."

grabs popcorn
17. This kind of advice/play is exactly why you will never do anything in poker, sir! Pick up a book.
18. az who are you talking to by the way...

and Waco im assuming you mean a-q is an instant shove on the flop right? def not an instant "gamble" preflop with 30bb although its not out of the question.

19. Die Phil Gordon!!!"the public wouldnt even know who u were if it wasn't animated players."

20. Isn't my post directly under Waco's?
21. ray u need to start valuing AQ, AK more. Im not flaming, I really just think you need to reevaluate their strentgh. 30BBs to a CL raise your money should get in the pot almost everytime.
22. Ship not if it changes alot but he had 9+ mill not 8. Cuz he raised it 6 mill n still had 3 mill in dark so not sure exact numbers but it was prob 9.5 mill or so he had. thats quite a jam.
23. Why when your this deep do you need to jam here?? I understand the math that hes not calling most the time but I still think this is a mentality of the online world where your forced to move much quicker certainly because while you may be deep in another 10 mins you are on the short end with online structures. I just dont get shoving this many chips in the pot here. There comes a time when people can play deep and learn to play flops. I mean I know all the players who posted here,,, waco, mattg, shipp can play post flop so i just dont get it.
24. makes sense MattG.....im usually not getting away from hands like this actually but i disagree with the fact that people say you always have to gamble with these hands when youre down to 30bb especially if the tourney structure is good.

and i think hellmuth, negranu, chan and other smallball players would agree with trying to see a flop in general and making a better decision.

thanks for the advice though.

25. the thing is 30BBs isnt deep enough to be taking alot of flops.
26. Phil Gordon and Phil Helmuth are both ass clowns. They have a bad habit of lumping bad internet players wth great ones and classify them all as "internet pokers". It is true that the majority of online players are horrible but that doesnt mean there isnt great online players.

29. wow az, you do realize the person you are talking to has won over 1 million dollars in the past year? I hope this is really good sarcasm.
30. Yea, but how much has he lost? And you assume 1 mil is a lot of money.
