  1. Been pretty slack and haven't booked accom yet, where are the most convenient places to stay - closeness to both venues etc (can you walk to and from both?) Or just where is everyone staying? Nicest places, etc. Also where do the pokerstars packages send you to?

    Any input appreciated, thanks

  4. I travel to London frequently on business. I prefer to rent an apartment, you get much more room and they are about half the price of a hotel. They are called serviced apartments and you get daily cleaning. The service I use is: http://www.londonservicedapartments.co.uk/. They have apartments available in most sections of the city.
  5. Personally I'm staying at the Intercontinental. It looks very nice and very close to the EPT location and all the major tourist attractions around London (apparently in view of Buckingham Palace). Judging by my poor usage of maps and such, it's a bit of a ride to the WSOPE venue, but nothing too bad.

I'm paying about L2500 for the week. Not too cheap, but everything is expensive in London, and obv you're far ballerer than I am, so don't worry about it.

  8. No matter where you stay, the way to get to the EPT London at the Victoria casino is by the Underground (the Tube) and get off at the Marble Arch Station. That's right across the street from Hyde Park. From there, you walk on the other side of the park a block and a half and get on Edgware Road. You go up Edgware Road for 4-5 blocks and the casino is on your right. Edgware Road is the Arab part of town and has many Lebanese restaurants. It also has cafes where people smoke water pipes. (not hashish).

I have also stayed at Hilton at Paddington Station which is from the other side of Edgware Road and it took me a 15 minute walk to get to the casino. Probably not advisable if you are carrying mucho dineros with you.

    Take a taxi.

I am lucky because I'll be in town for business and will drop by to see the EPT on Thursday night. Maybe meet some of you there. If you want, I could suggest a great Italian Restaurant where I go every time I'm in town. I won't play because I leave on Friday, but if they still have cash games going, I will definitely play some.
  9. St Martins Lane in Covent Garden. Its quite new, trendy and full of mad chicks. The bar is sick too.

  10. See you guys at the Marriott, though no one knows me and I know no one. I wouldn't mind making friends. :-)
  11. You so balla Andy, just roll into to old london town, jump into a taxi, flash some cash and say take me somewhere nice & close to where U are playing at. ***** OBV
  12. I'm at the Marriott through stars but going solo, if anyone I know needs a place to stay give me a shout. I'll probably leave London a day or two after I bust and head to Amsterdam/Berlin
