  1. <SPAN class=postbody>No real reads on this guy, it's still fairly early in the game. This a satellite to the FTOPS Main Event. Winner gets seat, 2-4 gets cash. I know first response is just fold preflop, and normally I would. The only reasoning I can give you for the preflop call is I know I'm going to be heads up, and I guess after playing a few of these already I'm more willing to gamble a little to get chips. In any case it's a min raise which always makes the math an excuse and if I miss it'll be an easy muck.

I'm more curious as to what people think of my post flop play.

  2. i'm 50/50 on the preflop call - it's hard to say fold for only 60 chips, but your hand is not great and you are OOP. the check-call on the flop is fine - his small bet is weak, but your hand cannot take any heat either. I do like the turn bet out, representing the 9, and his flat call tells me he doesn't have a 9 in his hand - if he had a "naked" nine he should raise, and if he had a "suited" 9 with a flush draw he should also raise. on the river, I think it's a good spot to bet out 300 or 400 as a value bet since you picked up a 2nd pair. if he raises, you don't have a decision to make because you can only beat a bluff and you will have to fold, and there is also the chance that he will fold a better hand like J-T or trips since every draw has been filled.
