losing connection

    I was just at the final table of the 15k 6max on stars and lost connection for like 15 minutes, I ended up goin from 1/4 to 3/3 when i got back and this is tilting me to no end... Is there anyway to prevent this from happening again?

    I was having a semi-regular disconnection problem, bitched at my ISP numerous times, and they finally sent me a replacement modem. Just before they did, I was soooo pissed that I was gonna change DSL providers, but here in Canada that means I'm ultimately still using the same DSL infrastructure (Bell copper wire, switches etc).

    So while looking for alternatives I came across NetZero, which offers a free 10hr/mth dialup account, just need to install a dialup modem in my machine, and I should have a backup solution that will bail me out 95% of the time when my highspeed goes wonky.

    ***EDIT I was also intrigued by a wireless USB-based modem that operates on the cell network(s), didn't investigate very far...here's a link to see if it might be a high speed alternative backup method:

    hit up a friend to close for you if the disconnection is that drastic im pretty sure that is allowed
