Great article Lenny and it brought a few things to light for me. I have stopped playing online because it just isn't fun anymore...'no love of the game'. I am playing more out of obligation to help 'improve' my game. In reality, I feel my game was suffering because of it. I really enjoy live play much more. And it probably has a lot to do with the things you mentioned...commraderie, great bunch of folks to hang with and enjoy the evening. I'm sure I'll go back to playing online, but it damn sure won't be any time soon. Not until I can get the same joy from it as I do playing live. I agree with you that some greats like DB and DN just have fun. I also like to watch Hoyt Corkins...that guy is just there to have fun and gamble it up. His demeanor never changes regardless of what cards hit the felt. I need to harness that before I go back to playing online.
