  1. Which is better, Winning Low Limit Hold Em, 3rd Edition By Lee Jones, or Small Stakes Hold Em by Ed Miller, Sklansky and Malmuth? Do they actually offer targeted useful advice different from the other "mainly NL" Hold Em books? If yes, can you provide some examples?
  2. SMall Stakes Hold Em is better. Lou Krieger two "Excellence" books are also very good book sfor low limit Hold Em. They do differ from NL books. I can't provide any examples as I am not at home next to my book shelf at the moment.
  3. what Fox said. read the Kreiger books first. they are basicly Salanski but worded better. once you have a handle on those go on to Small Stakes HE. Eds theorys are more high varicance than the "standard" plays but will make you a great all around player

  4. When I first started playing online poker and low limits, SSHE was like gold. Even if you just follow the pre-flop hand charts, you should be able to be profitable. It also really helps you understand many of the basic concepts of limit poker and is very easy to read.
  5. When I first started with low limit, I read WLLH first then progressed into SSHE. I think that worked out well and would suggest a low limit beginner to probably start with WLLH first. But you, if you have an idea of what you are doing, SSHE is a great way to start out.
