Don't have an exact hand history, but I'll post the situation that keeps happening to me (sorry for not posting in PD, you guys are just way better at advice).
In the 8.70 18 man-5 seat satellite turbos on FTP, I usually find myself around with 8 or 9 people to go and a stack of around 2500.
At this point, the blinds are at least 200/400 and probably 300/600. Obviously, a key steal here will get me in position to take the thing down.
However, the calling ranges of these people are atrocious, and this fact usually contributes to my downfall. I can't tell you how many times I made my first mid/late position shove in a lot of orbits, and got called by AJ. These people love calling off their entire stack with AJ, even off a push from someone who hasn't made a move in forever.
I've been trying to figure out a proper late game strategy for these, but I keep coming up with the same two answers - get more aggressive, or tighten up my pushing range. If I choose the first option, I get called by junk and am toast, and the second, I get blinded down.
I'm starting to think that I need to open up my calling range late, like these players, but I'm not sure if this is the way to go. Help would be appreciated.
