  1. Being a noob with not much of a bankroll, i'd like some advice about playing low stakes SNGs and MTTs. By BR only allows for me to play the $1.20 45 man SNGs and up to $2 MTTs at the moment.

What i'm finding is bluffing has absolutely no value what so ever. Doesn't this leave any player down to the mercy of the cards?

Is it worth just waiting until i can start with a higher BR and therefore play at a level where the player have at least a basic knowledge of poker?

How did everyone else start out on their journey to poker immortality?

    Any responses will be appreciated.

  2. The less knowledge they have, the more likely you will beat them.

Bluffing is less valuable (with the exception of continuation betting), but other tools such as betting for value are more valuable.

There is a counter for every mistake, and these players make a ton of them.

If they call too much, bluff less often and value bet more.

If they stack off too lightly, speculate with suited connectors and small pairs in the early going by limping in.

If they fold too often, raise more often etc.

Poker is like judo, you use your opponents weight against them.

  3. bluff less often...call their stupid bluffs...
and most importantly learn how to value bet properly.....
  4. No, it's not worth waiting until you can afford to play against better players. This is a common misconception amoungst players struggling to beat low level games. Learn to beat bad players first because there are many, many of them at all levels, and they are the players you will be winning your money off.

Follow Jens advice and just from reading your post I think you are probably too loose, looking for action, bluffing too much. Learn to play good solid poker and you will have a huge edge over these micro games.
