  1. about how many people do you think try make a living play 5/10nl and under and actually sucseed.....Also is it possible to make over 150k a year in 5/10nl and whats avereage a year for a 5/10nl cash game pro. thanks
  2. 150k a year is not a very good year for someone who plays 5/10 full time.

I know of players who can 10+ table 3/6 for much more yearly gross profit than that.

I dunno what the average is but yeah you can easily make way over 150k if you are a sick cash game multi tabler at $5/$10.
  3. lol thats the average for a good 1/2 player
  4. If u multi-table u can make a living even at 2/4 NL....
  5. You can make like $20/hr six tabling 100nl...that's a living for me.
  6. You could prob make a living multi tabling almost anything if you put in enough hours.
  7. yes sir you can
  8. <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>Re(1): make a living at 5/10nl?
by xxjondxx on 9/11/2007 14:21 </td><td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table> </td></tr></tbody></table> </td></tr></tbody></table> You could prob make a living multi tabling almost anything if you put in enough hours.

This is right on. Even if your playing as low as 25-50 cent blinds, you can still make as much if not more than most starting jobs. As for the themayor- to have a 20$/hour winrate you must be absolutley crushing the 100$ games. That's pritty much the same thing as having a 200$/hour winrate at 1000$ which is pritty ridicoulous. It would make more sense if you were playing 1-2, (or 10-20 for the 200/winrate, but even then it's still hard to maintian a winrate of that level.) But to answer the OP's question, yes you if you are a good 5-10 player you should be able to surpass 150K each year with ease.

  9. 4 tables/hr x 90 hands/table/hr (6 max)x 25 hours/wk = 9,000 hands/week

    If you run at a PTBB/100 of 3.0 at 5/10 then that is $60/100 hands (3.0 x 2 x $10).

    So 9,000 hands/week x $60/100 hands = $5,400/week x 48 weeks = $260k/yr (working 25 hrs/week with 4 weeks off)

    If you run at a PTBB/100 of 2.0 then it is $40/100. ($3,600/week = $172k/yr)
    If you run at a PTBB/100 of 1.0 then it is $20/100. ($1,800/week - $86k/yr)

A lot of full time cash pros play a lot more tables and a lot more hours. I was just using the 4 tables and 25 hours/week for the example.

BTW - Online 5/10 is about 10x harder than it was 1 year ago IMO. I would guess that most people can make as much or more at 2/4 as 5/10.
  10. Just the rakeback playing 1/2 nl(9 handed) 3500 hands a day 5 days a week is $2800 bucks a month. $33,600 in RB added to winnings you can make $60,000 easily if you can just make $100 a day off those 3500 hands. (rb 27% at tilt)

The rakeback at 5/10 nl 9 handed 3500 hands a day 5 days a week is $5700. If you break even theres a nice$68,400 for your 5 days a week.
  11. avergae for 1/2 player? I doubt that, you would have to spend at least 10 hours a day on the comp

  12. ^^^ Playing how many tables?
  13. easy to make >150k a year @ 5/10 playing 15-20hrs a week
  14. You can usually get about 560-620 hands an hour playing 9 tables. So about 6 hours a day playing 9 tables.
  15. rakeback on what sites?
  16. Well those stats are for fulltilt 27% but you can get 33% playing at Cake poker. They if you play 6 handed you can make way more because have 3 less players at the table.
  17. yeah i know of a few players that are ballin and only play 2/4-10/20. i see players on FTP everyday multi tabling the 5/10-10/20 tables. they usually only play like 3 or 4 hours a day though, playing roughly 4-6 tables at once (jedipokertrix is one guy that comes to mind). a lot of pros only play cash games because they dont like the hours u have to put into an MTT/ roi for them in in MTTs,etc. but yeah, you will see regulars on PS and FTP at the 2/4-10/20 tables winning fairly big for that level on a regular basis. they usually play the big MTTs too, but stick to cash games mostly.
  18. For an 8-10 multi-tabler, $20 an hour is VERY attainable at NL100. For a very good player, $30-$40/hr is possible (I'm talking about full ring, 6-max can probably be beaten much worse but I don't know for sure). (none of this is taking rakeback into consideration).
