<SPAN> I'm not going to beat around the bush here, I'll just get right to the point: there's an underage player who is a regular in the high stakes MTT's who has been cheating for way too long.
The culprit's real name is Brandon Barnes. He plays under the screen names "ThematadorCC" and "Completedonk." Brandon is 16 years old, as confirmed by his Facebook page ("Birthday: March 24, 1993"). While the screen names are clearly registered under someone else's names, they are used entirely by Brandon, and this rule infaction continues to fly under the radar.
As a long time professional tournament player who also backs dozens of others, I'm tired of this nonsense polluting the game. This has gone on long enough and I'm here to put a stop to it. I intend to bring this to the attention of the major poker sites and hope to see this little rascal go back to where he belongs: in homeroom.</SPAN> -
why do you care so much? j/w

FYI that link doesn't work... (unless it's just me)

This kid must be really good for you to actually rat him out publicly. I mean I'd be shocked if 50% or more of the current ranked players didn't start out playing underage.
If its just about the underage thing I think you calling him out specifically is mildly suspect.
If he's really MA'ing tho then please be sure to <STRIKE>burn him at the stake</STRIKE> have pokerstars ban him for one month like they did to wretchy. -
hmmm I really thought I met the "matadorcc" in Hammond, thought he said his name was Ben? Guess I smoke too much and must be wrong.....this guy steal a lot of equity from u dip?
-
Are you implying that his full tilt name and stars name are on the same site and he is multiaccounting? All you have done is name 2 accounts on different sites. So that's wrong.
Are you claiming that he's underage and has some unfair advantage and that is cheating? I mean if he's under age that is against the rules, but it definitely isn't cheating. -
I recall getting roasted for complaining about under aged players. Seems as though for years the whole HS community has been protecting more than a few of them.
Why post this now?
What about the others you know about who also cheat? -
I wonder if Annette_15 played underage.
-
Playing underage is not cheating.

If it is against the TOS, and against the law to play live under aged as well. It may not be what you consider to be cheating. But, since it breaks a law, it has to be something. If you do not like the word cheating. How about breaking a contract?

99NL tho?

Yeah its against the sites TOS, but cheating is when ur gaining an unfair advantage by breaking the terms. I dont see how CD gains any advantage by being underage. If this upsets you so much then u should become the next BRsavage and out everyone for everything, whether it be ghosting, separate accounts for cash games, sharing hole cards, and whatever else.

It bothers me because it gives our opposition more fuel to the fire.
I have a problem that it affects the whole community. It is selfish of the under aged player, and they have plenty of time to play when they get older. -
I know this really isn't a big deal compared to everything else that gets reported, but for anyone concerned with poker legislation, high-profile underage play is not going to be well-received.
That said, it darkens the soul a little bit that most information about any sort of cheating/TOS violations in online poker only comes out when someone breaking the rules in any way pisses off one of the other HS regs. -
I pretty much agree with all this....

THIS. You can't be a part-time cop.

The HS regs know of so much shady business going on and typically just lol about it, as long as it doesn't affect them directly. Calling people out only if/when their actions directly affected YOUR wallet, is weak.
Either try to clean up the game without bias or leave the cleaning up to others. This type of one-off informing just makes it look like a highschool popularity contest.
