I'm trying to figure out some odds in this game, and I think I'm close, but know that I'm not all the way there.

Let me give you a hypothetical situation. I'd like to know what the odds are, but I'd also like for someone to explain the method that the used to figure it out. I have some statistics in my background, so I should be able to understand it if you show me how it's done.

Lets say someone with a really rough made 8 was going against someone with a smooth three card hand. What are the odds that the 8 will hold up with three draws to go (also with 2 and 1 draw)
