  1. Hello Everyone!

I have been a long time reader of P5 but only recently signed up. Its a great site with tons of info!!!

Which brings me to my question. Poker is an ever evolving game with new trends and theories being invented every day (probably more often). I was wondering in your own opinion. What are the most important math theories (or proven) that you use on a daily basis?

I feel like my game as of late has become semi-robotic. Which is bad for a player at my level. I am not experienced or successful enough for this to be the case. I focus mainly on micro limits and am starting to move up. I know off time studying is as important as gaining experience. So I am trying to look for new avenues to explore and expand my game.

Currently I use PXF which has helped to show out side the box thinking and creativity. But it doesn't feel like this alone is enough. I am also looking to incorporate a more lagg style to my game. Which I am getting very excited about but don't completely know where to start. I don't want to just be spewy which is why I think the math would come in handy.

Any and all comments are more then welcome and again. I am very excited to FINALLY join this community :-)!!!

  3. The truth is, the math is the end all be all. The good news is, the more you play, the easier the math becomes. Especially if you are willing to study hands that confuse you a little bit. Honestly I would say for a lag player the numbers maybe slightly more important than for a tag. That could be way off, just what it seams like to me.
  4. lol, I am currently doing this....I was just wondering if there were any new or interesting theories out there. That are effective but maybe not so out in the open. I understand that changing to a lagg will require more of this and I'm willing to put in the work.

  5. at micro limits fancy play syndrome is a killer. If you play by the math and are good you should be able to profit at micro limits in the long run
