What are the percentage chances of seeing certain card strengths on the flop?
For instance:
Percetage chance of seeing an Ace on the flop
Percentage chance of seering a K or better on the flop
Percentage chance of seering a Q or better on the flop
and so on.... -
If i'm correct, an example would be that a card higher than Q would come out 47% of the time, and a card higher than J would come out 53% of the time (percents are obviously not accurate, just an example).
Assuming thats correct, here are some pretty straightforward percents for how often there will be an overcard given you have a certain pocket pair, thats as close as i can get to what youre asking.
KK: 1- (46/50)*(45/49)*(44/48) = 22.5% of the time, there will be a higher card
Using the same concept,
QQ: 41.4% of the time, there will be a higher card on the flop
JJ: 57% of the time, there will be a higher card on the flop
TT: 69.5% of the time, there will be a higher card on the flop
99: 79.3% there will be a higher card...
88: 86.7%
77: 92.1%
66: 95.8%
55: 98.2%
44: 99.4%
33: 99.9%
Hope that helps. im busy procrastinating writing a paper discussing the morality of pornography so nothing better to do -
