Poor mikey. 30 players to go in the main event, Mike holds AJ vs A9. Flop AA5. turn 9. river K. finished 30th should have made it to the final table with this pot...ah well
-
you make it seem like they were all in pre... flop went check/check and all the money went in on the turn... still a sick hand tho obv

Mike Matusow Eliminated in 30th Place ($193,000)
And this one is gonna hurt for awhile. Paul Snead raised to 200,000 and Mike Matusow reraised to 660,000 from the big blind. Snead called, and they saw an Ad-Ah-5s flop. Both players checked, and when the 9hcame on the turn Matusow bet 500,000. Snead moved all in, Matusow called, and that's when Mike learned that his Ah-Js had been overtaken by Snead's Ac-9c. The Kc came on the river, and with that Mike Matusow's run in the Main Event came to an end. -
193K should last him what, 2 hours?
-
Sucks that Hellmuth or Matusow didn't final table this. Like them or not, if you can't see how it would be good for poker as a whole, I'm sorry.
-
The guy had A9 suited when he called off 20% of his stack to Matusow's preflop reraise. Does anyone really think he was folding his trips on the flop if Mike bet?
-
Say what you want about the money going in on the turn when Mike was already waaaay behind, but any way you slice it his opponent's call pre is TERRIBLE.
-
I think the guy was joking about the fold after the flop, I think he was referencing the guy that said the money didn't go in until the turn as if it would have mattered if the money went in on the flop.
It would have been cool to see one of the big name pros go against the others at the finals. -
Could he have gotten away here after the raise on the turn? the only thing i think he is beating is a10 in this spot, and that could very well end up as a chop. He is losing to the 55, 99, ak, aq, and obv a9. I don't think the guy flats him pre with much less a9 but i could be wrong i guess? i also see the guy flatting the turn with pocket pairs like 66 77 88 1010 and jj, as opposed to shoving. If matusow would have been left with more than like a mil in front of him after a fold to a raise on the turn, i think this is a bad call
-
LOL, exactly what he said, don't post so much garbage when your cluelessssssss, jesus where do you people come up with this
-
apparently the guys who had the A9 was "loose" to say the least. meaning he has a wider ranger here, and is folding less. tough break. the 9 doesnt fall the guy doubles mikey easy.
-
So sick; I really wanted to see Mike do well. FTign this and the 05 ME would have been quite an accomplishment.
-
OK, here's my question. I think the blinds were 30-60K (and maybe 5K antes) at that point with Mike having 2.7 mill and the other guy (Paul Snead) 3.3. mill.
Once Matusow reraises Paul Snead's original raise of 200K to 660K, isn't it now a shove (or maybe reraise to 2 mill effectively putting Mike all in) or fold situation for Snead? Maybe if he has AA or KK and he's fairly certain Mike would fold to a reraise preflop, he could flat and let Matusow c-bet, but other than that, how can he possibly flat call that rereaise there without it being a huge mistake? Also, he's not acting first after the flop, so it's not like he can stop and go either.
Does this guy even understand some of the basic concepts regarding stack sizes and blinds? How good must these people like him, Yang and Rahme have to run to make it this deep? -
all I was doing was sorting out the facts of the action on the hand... not saying it would have played out differently... jeezuz

HEY Mikey!! Nice run at the WSOP ME. We were rooting for ya!! Much respect!!

Yeah it was an obvious bad play. Wacokid you talked about hellmuths bad play and now your talking about this. If you think your better then why aren't you in it? A lot of online players are hating on them. But they are bringing in the funds.

I didn't realise you had to be better someone to talk about how they play.

I assume everyone I hear dumping all over Farve in OT must be better quarterbacks than he is, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to talk about him then.
Oh, and you're not allowed to talk about Waco. Or me. Or most of the other players on here then if that's the rules we're going to follow.
thx for clearing that up for us. -
Waco was not hating on anyone, wtf?
