So I enter one of those HORSE tournaments on Full Tilt. I'm a Hold em man myself, played a little Omaha, but essentially I'm a one trick pony and figured this would be a fun way of getting to grips with several games at the same time.
A combination of skill, luck and blind stupidity sees me chip leader and cruising to the FT, some people are praising me like I know what I am doing, maybe I am an unbelievable player after all.
I'm playing a normal NLHE SNG at the same time, and I flick back to see I've got aces in the hole and a 9 showing in a seven stud hand. Several players in the pot are raising and raising again which I'm not minding one bit. My hand develops into Aces full of 9s, and people are still bet bet betting even though they are showing me junk, this is great, are people that dumb? Am I that good?
I show down my boat and get ready for a table full of NH.
Instead I get a sea of question marks in the chatbox:
?
?
?
LOL
LOL
LMAO
He thinks we are playing stud!!!!
Think I will read up a bit more on Razz before I attempt another DONKEY tournament. (I'm the donkey btw, not the people who play HORSE tourneys) -
We've all done things like this before. It's embarrassing, but not the worst mistake I've ever seen. I think Hellmuth said he did the same thing in one the previous HORSE WSOP tournaments. I think worse was in the WCOOP event where 6 high won a huge pot at the final table because the other player misread his hand and only had 5 high.

I've actually studied all the games and played them all quite a bit. You find donkeys in all these while playing cash games but if you play a HORSE tounament on FT I don't think donkey quite goes far enough to describe the play. Maybe mega ultra donkey?? I don't know.
They might have been telling you that you were playing well and you missed the sarcasim. -
I had a similar experience in a HORSE SNG. I missed the change from razz to stud. I'm dealt a good razz starting hand and complete. A bunch of people raise, re-raise, and cap with paint showing. I think "What donks" and call. On 4th street someone pairs their Q and bets. I'm thinking "What kind of idiot bets in razz with exposed queens", I'm planning to re-raise, then out of the corner of my eye I catch the top of the screen and realize it's Stud. I meekly fold.
