  4. Congrats on the score man, played fearless and ran good in the right spots.

I gotta ask though, cause I watched the whole ft and some of my friends and I were really curious, where did you come up with the numbers you offered at various points during 3-handed and then HU chop discussions? The 3-handed one you said you wanted 140k (10k less than 1st) when you had a 8:2:2 CL, and then you wanted 146k (3 or 4k less than 1st) when you were HU with a 4:1 CL. Were you just trying to set a high grounding point to begin negotiations, cause if so, then that seems somewhat understandable. It was just really strange because you were the one to suggest that you guys look at numbers, then you throw out two fairly absurd figures as ultimatums. I'm not trying to hate, you were doing your thing and you're more than entitled to negotiate in whichever manner you wish.

Basically, I'm just wondering if you actually thought your equity 3-handed was worth 140k, and your equity HU with a 4:1 CL was worth 56k of the additional 60k you were playing for? ...or were you just offering the guy 3 or 4k as a way of posturing/shit-talking/demonstrating to him how unlikely you believed his chances of winning to be?

Sup bro..um its hard to say. i wasnt to famililar with the guy on my left but his numbers were solid, and it was apparant that it wasnt his first time in this spot since he was an ftops winner. The other guy i was very sure was weak and had likely zero experience playing for six figures. at the time i thought my edge was so big i was going to chop only if it favored me in a huge way despite the mathematical relevance. when i was heads up with the weaker player i never had a doubt that i was going to win outfright, and me talking shit in the chat (at one point offering him $500 to chop) was a combination of me trying to tilt an inexperienced player and me being cocky. I had a 10 to 1 chip lead at the time. if it seemed like i was throwing out absurd ultimatums it was because i was..i wanted to controll the table both with my stack and verbally when it got to shorthanded and i had no intention to chop unless it was really going to benefit me.

  9. Nice work son.
  10. met,

you ran extreeeeemeeelyyy well for the final 2 tables or so... I saw you get it in behind multiple times - but werent too big of a dog for your running skills to overcome. Thought for sure I'd bust you and shouldve a couple times before FT but you got lucky. Well played though, your aggression definitely paid off. Congrats. 5th ain't turrible either, esp for a first 5 figure score.

ok that makes a lot more sense now, thanks for the explanation. I was confused when you suggested looking at numbers then didn't negotiate at all, but if you didn't want to chop unless you got a sick deal then the situation makes more sense to me.

And regarding "if it seemed like i was throwing out absurd ultimatums it was because i was..i wanted to controll the table both with my stack and verbally when it got to shorthanded and i had no intention to chop unless it was really going to benefit me"--I see nothing wrong with that.

Congrats again to you and Miguel...and fwiw I wasn't watching with anyone, i was just chatting with a few people, i forget who exactly. I think I mentioned something to Herbhealsme at the time.
