This might be 1/5th of the reason I'm still playing micro:
Villain already has a note: "Likes to overbet, no clue what it means."
At these stakes I can't tell if he likes shoving the nuts hoping a donk will call, or Is doing it with air. The range is ob ATC--AA. He hasn't taken me for anything so I didn't mind folding, but what should my line have been? I can't see calling a buy-in on a coinflip vs what he may have had...
How do you deal with players that fold fold fold, aggro a hand, fold fold, f'n shove to protect their SB? He's in at least 1 hand an orbit, but only shoving one hand every 3 orbits.

You simply cannot call here unless you have a very specific read that says you should. If you play long enough at this table you'll find out what his overbets mean... once you've figured that out that's a good starting point. But calling w/ Q high is horrible and definitely not optimal.

ty. he seemed loose, but I still don't understand what pre-shoves mean since they seem -EV.

what do gross overbets mean? I guess I'd know after a while, but they rarely hit showdown at my stakes (his never did).
I called one with AJ and the other guy beat me with K3, just an example, so I tend to think of them as air-steals, I'm just not sure what range I need to call these. (I'm sure AJ was calling range 6max). -
ive put in a shit tonne of hands at 5NL and id definately say 90% of the time this is AA/KK :)
