Mohegan Sun Opens Poker Room

    Anyone else planning to go to the opening of the new poker room at Mohegan Sun? For years Foxwoods has screwed its poker players with rediculous "time" format of collecting from its no-limit players. Hopefully now that mohegan is opening up a poker room, creating some competition for foxwoods, they will stop acting like they are doing US the favor by having a poker room.

    Anyway, it opens on the 29th of August and there will be a few of us staying over that night. Anyone else planning on going?

    Define opening.

    Mohegan has had poker for a while now, on the electronic tables. Mostly 1/2 & 2/4 NL, SNGs, and 3 or 4 table MTTs.

    FWIW, while kinda cheesy, I <3 the electronic tables for speeding up the live play.

    By the way the Mohegan electronic tables also collect rake the same way as Foxwoods as far as the 1/2NL game.. So they may collect rake the same way in the live room.. I havent heard anything yet but I'll ask some people. IF you guys need bail money I live 1 minute away.

    Isnt it the "Re"opening of the poker room?
    I think they had a poker room years ago even before foxwoods

    Yes they had a room and just before the Moneymaker boom hit they closed it.. Alot of shady dealings going on there at the time anyway.. Drugs,Hookers all kinds of fun stuff.

    their only gonna have like 42 tables so foxwoods room will still be bigger. The room looks sick tho.
