Ok my mate is very good at building a stack but is pretty terrible at the end game of tourneys. So he asked me if I could play for him in a $55 buy in 18kgtd. There were 13 people left and the average was 110,000 and he left me with 70,000. At this stage his payout was around $200. I ended up coming 4th and getting $1422. All the while though I was playing a $33 rebuy 10kgtd on the side for him which was an extra game that was on at the time. He left me with 16,000 chips when the average was around 12,000. After the 55er he took back over when I had built him up to 66,000 chips which was the average with 20 people left. He then played to the final 3 and at that stage the stacks were as follows. Some guy on 160,000 some guy on 1,000,000 and he was on 300,000. I won it and the 1st prize was $3,779. So he just made 5.2 k. That equals 6,880 New Zealand dollars. He wants to give me a 500NZ (378 US) dollar cut. But that's only 1/14 or 7.3%???? What do you guys reckon?? I had't invested any part into the buy in but I still feel I deserve more of a cut.
Just to summarise:
Played $55 from 70,000 chips with 13 left and average at 110,000. Got 4th for $1422
Played $33R from 16,000 chips to 66,000 chips with 20 people left (65,000 ave). Then played final 3 with 300,000 chips two other stacks were 1,000,000 and 160,000. Came 1st for $3,779 -
a) you should never post this on p5, it's kinda considered cheating and unethical.
b) in the $55 you should get $250, in the 33R you should get $750. 20% for you is fair...if he doesnt like that system than tell him he can play the tourneys on his own.
him getting 80% + the fact that you are a lot better than him at closing (as you showed by winning the tourney) is probably a lot more profitable, for him, than playing the whole tourney by himself and getting 100%. he should be happy, he did well for him. you should at least pay you $1,000 (US). -
when u said u took over.. were u at his house and took over? or did u sign in from your place into his account?
if he wont pony up more money.. i'd tell him to finish on his own.. -
if someone thats not lazy wants, they can pretty much make it so he doesnt get a dollar therefore you would have cost both of you all that money.
