  1. Hi everyone - I just got a new lcd and graphics card. I installed the graphics card correctly, installed drivers which all said was done correctly. I cant get both screens to work at once. Only one or the other.. ive gone into options and it doesnt even say that both moniters are connected it will only let me use the default if I plug both in at the same time and boot up or I can use the new one if i only plug that one in. Would really appreciate some help, respond here or PM me and I can give you my aim. Thanks!
  2. What do you see if you right click on desktop go to properties then settings?
  3. It doesnt even have the option to extend to 2nd moniter, it doesnt say its there.

  5. Hmmm def have an issue there, if the card and drivers have been installed you should have been able to see it from desktop.
  6. Are you getting power to both monitors?

Can you see the desktop on both monitors?

Right click My Computer -> Manage -> See if there is no Yellow Questions Marks...If there is then the driver is not installed correctly. Right click on it and say update driver
  7. Press the windows button and P (windows + P). Does the monitor options shortcut work?
  8. ok so i went out and bought a DVI cable. I hooked up both screens to my new graphics card and now i get the mains creen working and it shows up on windows that a 2nd screen is plugged in but the moniter just says no VGA cable... now what?

Is there power to the second screen? What OS do you have? and what desktop do you have?
  12. It sounds like you downloaded the drivers for the video card but didn't download the software for multiple monitors.

ATI -- you should download the full Catalyst suite
Nvidia -- Has the full Nvidiia suite

Each of these will come up as a tray icon which you will be able to then set your individual monitor's resolution, which is primary and how they are situated on your desk. Simply downloading the drivers for the video card will not do it.

  13. I did a full installation of the CD that was included..
