Today started off terribly for me. Bubbled a Sunday Mil satty running JJ into KK, got donked off in a 20$ sng AA<AQ aipf, thought it was turning around when my AK hit an A against KK but obv case K on turn saved him.
And that's when I went on monkey tilt.
First tourney i play after that I come back from short stack to win a 10$ 18 by playing like a monkey. I screamed at the screen several times and called my opponents various names and lo and behold it actually worked. Oh yea and I got my money in behind once or twice but hit some nice cards but it was more that I went into shovefest mode like a true monkey 4 handed and came out on top.
Moral of the story, going on monkey tilt pays off. -
Just keep getting your money in behind and you'll win, my AA never holds up either so i usually just fold it preflop.

lol, i wouldnt say it pays off. but when you play badly, youre bound to get lucky for big chips every once in a while, and once you get those big chips, if you turn up the try knob and turn down the monkey tilt, youll probably do well. some of my best tournaments started off by being on monkey tilt, but ended with solid play.

worst post of the year

Lol
It's not like I was playing terrible, but to me monkey tilt is just supperaggressive. I wasnt calling off my stack with 59 just because i was tilting, but rather shoving any decent hand when raised. It really looked more like powerpoker than a true tilt. But it's ironic that my results seem to improve once I go on my little monkey tilt for a while. Just makes me feel better I guess being a supernit to play super aggressive and actually win (which never happens when I just try to play normal SA).
SO if you think this is the worst post of the year next time you're TAG costs you 1/13th of your BR in a few hours with 5 brutal beats and several hardcore coolers to go along with it go on a little monkey tilt of your own and you just might get some of it back. -
no..no, it didnt
