  1. I was wanting to get opinions on how many different poker tools or what type's of poker software tools people are using?
Also which do you think has helped your game out the most?
I should also mention I play mainly sng's and mtt's.
Also I play only on PS as of now.
    Thanks in advance
    Refresh
  2. the kind that show you all the cards is awesome, look it up on youtube I hear.

I've used poker copilot on OS X and it's pretty comprehensive.

The 2 i've heard of on PC are Pokertracker and Holdem Manager, but idk much about those, i'm sure someone else will be glad to enlighten you
  3. Holdem Manager + TableNinja if you are grinding much SNG's/MTT's simultaniously
  4. Are these tools actually beneficial? Ive never used any sort of software such as these programs?....

Is there really a need for them and how much could they be a benefit?

It is obviously a beneficial tool or people would not use it. They only benefit the user if the user is able to interprut the statistics properly. The stats alone really don't help all that much IMO.

If your not a good player, getting one of these programs is not going to make you one.

I understand that. Its just I have had decent cashes and do good without using any software. But I see a lot of people using these different tools and just wondered if it would be extremely beneficial or not :s

Can't really see that it would help to a great affect, but may have to look more into it!!
  7. Starting in May I am going to start grinding cash games on pokerstars. I am starting my way from 16-tabling to 24 by the end of the year. I am getting Hold'em Manager and also Table Ninja.

Hold'em Manager is important because it gives you very a specific interpretation of how your opponents' plays without having to continuously pay attention to each and every hand on each and every table.

Table Ninja is very important for multi-tabling because it allows you to make just single click actions (ex. say you want to raise every pot pre to 3-4x bb you can just click "r" for raise and it automatically raises to the amount you want instead of having to scroll through multiple betsize boxes every 5 seconds).

Those would be the two pieces of software I would recommend.
  8. Most people have responded with the HUDs etc for in-game play. However, the best poker tools, hands down imo, are those that you can use off the felt. Those programs are pokerstove and universal replayer.
  9. I dont use any tools, but I am a tool.
  10. Is Holdem Manager more suited towards cash games or Tourney's or does it suit both equally?
Also would you suggest just going ahead and uprgrading to the Pro version, even if I normally play micro's for the time being?
Also does it just attach to each individual table I might have up and running and provide stats for that particular table?
Does it effect your available screen space much?
    Thanks
