I think I have a definitive answer on who this person, but I know it's open for debate.
Lee Watkinson is on the top of my list. -
I agree.

good point about most cash players being underrated, but it's really hard to tell what people win in cash games, so it's hard to figure out how to rate someone, tourney winnings are right out in the open

Eugene Todd, bro.

^^^this man -
Jennifear.
She has made an art out of SnG play, but since she doesn't have big scores nobody cares. She's always open to help people in the forum, although if she was a greedy girl she'd save that for those who pay her for private lessons. Awesome player, even better person. -

It depends on what sense of the word "pro" you mean. If by pro you mean "someone who plays for a living" then theres probably a list of 100,000+ who deserve recognition, IMO including myself.
If by "pro" you mean "someone discussed on poker forums" then I'm going to have to go with LivB112. -

do u think i can get a t shirt, maybe a visor?

I think with the dominance of players that are masters of cash and tourney (Ivey, Barron, Genius28, Antonious) You can't just pick a pro that specializes. The most underrated would have to be good at more than 1 form of poker to fit into any catagory worthy of accolades.
That being said my pick is.... Drumroll please....
Sam Farha
Just Kidding, he's supposedly good at PLO and he's great at holdem after the flop but i think he has some HUGE pre flop leaks.
But really, with all due respect to Farha, the most underrated pro player IMO is....
Mike Matusow
When the guy is on his game he really is great. He is famous for his blowups and donkishness in online cash games but I really don't think he gets enough credit for his accomplishments. 2 WSOP bracelets, 2 WSOP ME final tables, recntly running and playing very well online. He really is 1 of the top tourney players, if he could only find some emotional balance in his life he would truly be a wealthy man.
He's everyone's favorite Whipping Boy in poker but the man really does have some skills. -
BTW I too agree that Lee Watkinson is a great poker player. His best game is obv PLO tourneys so he doesn't really fit into the category of a well rounded player, but he really is very good. He would probably be on my top 5 of underrated pros but he really isn't that underrated considering his accomplishments.

yes my commercial is going to be racquetball
-
really...
-
^^^^jhub up there. No one outside of the SNG world (and even some of them,) have any clue who he is or what he does.
-
i'm gonna say mike matusow and phil hellmuth.
both excellent players imo, and very underrated, especially by the general public -
as long as you are aware that Sammy Farha is probably one of the biggest money losers in poker history
