Finally keeping my BR over a thousand now at the 2 dollar level. I have a good feel for how to play in these games. I am ready to move up. Was wanting to ask those who have moved up from the micro stakes, would you skip the five dollar level and go to the ten, or just move up to the five as I did when I went from one dollar to two? Also do you need to adjust your play going to the five or ten dollar level.
Right now it just takes patience, and keeping a few things in mind...These guys never stop to think about hand ranges, you cannot bluff, and when it gets to the bubble get aggressive. I just play simple ABC poker right now. I keep in mind that any ace is played and usually any face card. So the hand ranges are very wide. And I keep detailed notes.
I am really leaning toward the 5 dollar level as I like to be very conservative with my BR management. But is the play really any different at the 10 dollar level?
Thank you all very much, this site has helped me more than any thing else I have read. -
The play isnt that much different obv a few more skilled players but just as many donks who would rather blow ten than 5
I would maybe try mixing in a bit of both if u play half and half your avg buy in will go down a bit while still piling up ROI
do you play turbos now or regular??? -
I play mainly the $3.00 FT tourney's , knockouts and such, but whenever I go to the higher level tourney's $24.00 or so, I don't really see much difference in play at all. Within the first hours half the field is wiped out, and ABC poker works there too. I still think its harder to win at the micro levels cuz the players are just insane and don't care if they loose they're 3-10 bucks on a 10/4 off. I think if you play your game you can make it at any level.

The play in the $11 is virtually the same as the $5 and they fill up alot quicker. With a roll of over 1k you have enough to play the $11. If you go on a bad run you can always move down. One thing I also like to do is if im uncomfortable with my roll I will play both the $5.50's and the $11's.
