What do you prefer? Lately I've been having issues with my router or Wireless card and would frequently lose connections during late MTT stages.
How anger-provoking...
I threw in a nice ethernet cable and said "fuck it" to my Wireless card. Works like a charm and I haven't had a problem since.
Does anyone else use this sort of practice to ensure 100% connectivity during their MTT? (barring a freak ISP accident)

I have an AT&T aircard and a TWC Wireless Router that I use for my laptop and desktops. The only issue I have is during evenings when there is high traffic on the cable modem. When that occurs I just connect my aircard...

wired through router all day ftw imo.
-
i think they make a router where its both wireless and wired now. that way u have the option of using both.
-
WIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm usually on my wireless but I keep a 100 ft ethernet cable always plugged into the router too so I can connect my laptop to that just in case.
Also thinking about getting an aircard for cable modem backup. -
where did u get a 100ft ehternet cable???? Do they sell them that long at the store??? (also which store tho im guessing radio shack etc)
-
you can get a box of 1,000 ft for $80. Then you don't run out for a long time
-
wireless pisses me off sometiems but so does wireless....sprry for bad typing...kinda drunk
-
Doubt many stores carry them but just about any internet store that sells cables will have it for less than $20. Google is your friend.
-
did you really just make a thread to see if wired internet was more reliable than wireless??
fuck me. -
you can buy the cable and ends and crimper at radio shack and make your own, its really easy...This site shows you how to connect the ends...I just made one the other day...
