So how do people actually get busted out on this?? My buddy and I are playing on our laptops right now, on same connection in same tourneys and shit... we were just joking around about if they accused one of us of multi accounting or like what would happen if we both made FT.
Anyway, how do they prove this?? -
lol - two minutes after i post this we get moved to same PLO MTT table....
-
IP addresses and unique computer identifiers are two I think of right off the top of my head.
-
okay, so he is using one of my computers though... i just dont understand how they would ever know?
-
this has me sort of freaked out, sitting at the same table from same connection at all... just weird... i mean we obviously aren't gonna cheat but it would be so easy to be looking at 8 plo hold cards - lol

I just posted a long response to cigardads thing going on but apparently his post got ousted. My repsonse is in my profile though.
To expand and not rant much more than I already have. These whiz kids travel in packs. All with laptops. I love poker and put up with it I guess. Anyone could gather up six wireless laptops all in different names in sit in a hotel room in vegas or wherever. Just a thought. I don't play in the big buy ins very often so I don't feel very affected but think about it for a second. Not even to mention the fact that SOMEONE can see everything. Do I agree with cigardad? not really. Is it possible? I don't know. -
FYI
Thank you for your email.
pokerstars maintains a high level of game security and
game integrity. We
have many tools and devices at out disposal to detect
multiple account
abuse and cheating. We are not at liberty to discuss
our methods of
detection. Basically, any player is welcome to play on
our site providing
they play with their own account and only one account.
Players in the same
household will be prevented from playing in
tournaments under 45 people.
This is to ensure that game integrity is preserved.
Players from the same household may be able to play in
tournaments above
45 people and are certainly welcome on the final
table. However, any
temptation to cheat will instantly be detected and
dealt with.
We also have detection of collusion and cheating and
are aware of all the
methods that some players try to get around detection.
If any player is
found to be cheating in any way, they will be
disqualified from the
tournament and/or have their funds confiscated and/or
have their accounts
permanently banned.
If you have any further queries, please do not
hesitate to contact us
again. Thanks for choosing PokerStars.

They typically don't tell poker cheats how they figure things out so poker cheats won't figure out how to beat them.
You and your friend will probably get away with cheating only a few times before you're caught.
