  1. Hi,

I'm still on my way building my bankroll (going very well so far), and I started asking myself how many tables is it best to play at the same time ? I used to play 4, but today I tried to play only 2 SNGs at a time, and it improved my game (especially my reads) A LOT. I suppose all that is normal, just wondering how many you guys can play at a time, and still play your best game ? I often read about (experienced) people 8-tabling or more, to what extent can good players do this without hurting their game too much ?

    Any 2 cents appreciated,
  2. my results when I play cash games are wayyyyyyy better when I stick to 4 tables instead of trying to play 8

  3. It's very player dependent and the answer is different for everyone. You just have to try different things yourself and figure it out. It's not really a question of quantity vs. quality. It's more like finding the best balance between the 2 that maximizes your hourly rate. It's all really a simple math problem. Estimate your ROI playing 4 tables at a time and estimate your ROI playing 2 tables at a time. Then multiply that ROI by your buy-in and then by the # of games you would play per hour for each. No one on this forumn can answer this question for you. It's up to you to figure it out.

  4. I still can't get the hang of it (I suck) I tried it and destroyed my shark scope. I have a little fishy jumping out of a bowl. I need some help in that area in the worst way.
  5. I was going to transfer you $0.02 on stars, but your name isn't clear on your profile.
  6. I'm all about quality. maybe my ABC poker isnt as good as it should be, because I don't feel like I can play really basic poker on several tables and do well. I usually have to rely on reads and heroic calls with bottom pair to do well.
  7. If your goal is to make the most money in the shortest amount of time, the answer is hands down always going to be quantity over quality. With a decent amount of experience I can safely say that my hourly rate tops out at 9 tables. It may take awhile but if you keep records of how you do playing with x amount of tables and then compare, you can find how many tables you should be playing. It may a decent sample size for variance not to skew the #'s, but you should be quickly pointed in the general direction.
  8. When I'm playing SNG's I prefer to play 4. I tried moving up 6 but it just didn't feel comfortable and my hourly rate dropped. So I suppose you should look and see what is most profitable for you.
