my aim got hacked....what to do now?

    so some tool is here in the bahamas is hacking everyone, he hacked my aim (shmol627) and is asking ppl for trxfers, so do not send

    anyone know where to email aim to let them know?

    I would assume there is some way to reset the password that allows you to answer a question you provided when you signed up for the service. So you should be able to get your acct back that way.

    Googling AIM password recovery would probably be a good place to start.

    Make sure your poker account has additional authentication before that gets hacked too.

    1.) Get on a friend's computer.

    2.) Change every other password on EVERY site you use that uses money to a password you've never used before.

    3.) Reset AIM password to your email, if possible (good luck getting help from AOL lol)

    4.) Get back to your home machine.

    5.) Delete AIM as soon as possible and never, EVER use it again.

    6.) Find and install a reputable keylogger detector (doubt it's an issue, but just in case).

    7.) Order all the RSA tokens you can get your hands on.

    He is probably sniffing on the wifi network OR he has ARP poisened the network and is routing all traffic through his own machine. Either way, you are not safe on that network in any way.

    If you want to connect to anything, you should setup a VPN or SSH tunnel to a safe place and go from there.
