  1. Live tourney. I have 27000. Blinds 300/600.UTG+1 I raise with QsQh to 2400.Button with 20000 chips flat calls. Flop 8s 10s Js. I bet 5500.He flat calls.Turn 2h. I push all-in.He calls with 9s9h.River 7h. He wins with straight.
BTW he was a loose player who had been lucky on draws.

Please advise how I could have played this better and your reasoning.

    Thanks
  2. It look like you played it good to me. You got him to call your all in drawing to a str8 you are blocking and a flush you had him beat on, you have to work hard to find a better spot to double up.

From his pint of view this is among the best flops he could see, not quite as good as a set but close. He'll think he has 15 outs with 2 to the nuts, not the 5 with 1 he really has, and isn't going anywhere. Even if the Q comes off on the turn you'll have 10 on the river to redraw on him.

    well played - GG

    my 2 cents

You will run into the nut flush here sometimes, but even so I like your play.
  3. You're a 90% favorite when you got your money in. You took a bad beat.

And please don't classify a player as "lucky on draws". That should never go into your considerations for making a play.
